Bring life back to your old kph 30i with this over-ear adapter mod.
This is a 3d printed over ear adapter for the Koss KPH30i. The kph30i has a headband that likes to snap, in different places as well. This adapter uses a broken kph 30i, with the headband and yoke removed, to turn it into an over-ear headphone.
The headband is the same that is used in my Nova and Nova Mini headphones, and uses a friction/pressure fit style adjustable TPU mesh strap. The TPU strap color options are limited to black, grey, white, red, and blue.
Headband hinge assembly has been updated and improved, but the images don't reflect this. Do take note of the last two images which have the updated hinge.
A 3.5mm jack assembly is now included if the buyer is able to solder and desires a removable cable.
The adapter will need some assembly, by placing the kph 30i driver enclosure into each respective recess, and then screwing down the back cover with TPU insert already in place. Can be used with or without stock foam pads, but it sounds closest to stock without the foam.
Comes in White, Grey, Frosted Clear, and Beige. For other colors, please look at the Made to Order section.
Screws come in silver only. The black screws in the images strip too easily, preventing proper assembly.
IMPORTANT:
Headphone stand or KPH 30i is not included. Buyer needs to supply their own kph 30i.
Due to the 3d printing process, there may be blemishes such as lines, wisps of plastic and creakiness.
There may be delays when earpads are out of stock, if screws are out of stock, or if I am already working on other products.
